Oregon Coast Photo Dump

Jason and I joined my family for an after Christmas jaunt down the Oregon Coast.  We stayed between Lincoln City and Newport, along Bella Beach.  We capped off the week with a visit to our favorite Vancouver peeps, the Wright's.  Great times!

Dogsled Ride

Our great friend, Tim, runs sled dogs out of Lake Wenatchee as his wintertime gig.  We kicked our Christmas break off with a bang and had the opportunity to ride along with him and his team of Alaskan Malamutes.  They are incredible dogs!

Snowshoeing!

We went snowshoeing this past weekend and I can not express how happy it made my heart!  Let me back up.  This was my dear husband's first time snowshoeing.  EVER.  He happily agreed and excitedly embraced the outing.  He is so, so supportive of things I love.  Bless him.  Yes, it rained.  The whole time.  And, the snow was less than ideal.  Yet, we still had a blast.  To top it all off, we used our new Jet Boil for the first time.  Steaming hot chocolate fresh from the Jet Boil while out in the cold is, hands down, the best.

Weekend Getaway

We happily welcomed October with a weekend visit to our second home, Lake Wenatchee's Y Camp.  My grandparent's 40 acre gem nestled away on Blewett Pass is the perfect landing place for our occasional jaunts up north.  A weekend complete with cabin dwelling, fire building, fall foliage photographing, charcoal grilling, and wool sock wearing.  Needless to say, we were both quite content.

My sweetheart grill master in action.
